WFTPD Server has been a leading FTP server for Windows since it was released in 1993.
With the release of WFTPD Pro Server, we extended its support to use for multiple virtual hosts,
and to run as a dedicated service on Windows 2000,
Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista.
Since that initial release, we've also added a host of
other features, including encrypted authentication and transfers, Windows user
database integration, a more intuitive user interface, remote administration and
more.

Secure data transfers
- WFTPD Pro Server supports industry standard TLS/SSL encryption and
authentication for all ftp data transfers and commands.
Based on WFTPD Server - using the same underlying
engine as WFTPD Server allows us to leverage over eight years of experience, troubleshooting, and
bug testing, to provide the same stability and speed for which we are well-known.
This also allows us to ensure that we have the largest number of people testing, and proving, our major
code-base.
Extended and expanded - while WFTPD Server's engine
provides the base engine for WFTPD Pro Server, it has been extended and expanded to provide more security, power and
flexibility for the more thoroughly competent system administrator. Such features as
virtual hosting [the ability to run more than one FTP site on a single machine], remote
administration, and on-the-fly file conversion, allow the site administrator to provide a
more professional feel to the FTP site.
Quiet and unobtrusive - running as a service, and controlled through
the Control Panel (with its own special applet), the WFTPD Pro Server software can be run either
on an NT server, or even a commonly-used NT workstation. Users of the workstation
need not be aware that WFTPD Pro Server is running on it, and FTP clients connecting to the
WFTPD Pro Server FTP sites will not be aware whether or not anyone is logged in to the workstation.
